We are looking for answers to some hard questions as we dig deep inside and explore our own core values and how that guides not just our own lives but the very world that we live in. These questions will be asked to a group of high school students but we would also like to hear from the world at large. While we hope to keep this forum wide open we do reserve the right to delete responses that we find to be offensive or combative in nature. Thank you for participating with us.

Question of the Day: Day 212
Do you think that people (yourself included) should be tolerant of the differences in values of other people or does tolerance somehow imply condoning things that you may or may not believe in?
Have you ever made significant changes in your behaviors but some people keep reminding you of your past and not letting it go? How do you handle that when it happens?
Think of someone who really bothers or frustrates you and exactly what those behaviors are that bug you then imagine those exact same behaviors in someone that you love or care about. Can you transfer some of those good feelings or strategies from the person you love to the person that bugs you and make it better or would it not make any difference at all?
Have you ever found yourself behaving in a way that is contrary to what you believe (your personal values /morals /code of ethics)? What did you do to bring the two back into alignment (accomodate the behavior, or accomodate your beliefs)?
How do you think the world will eventually end (weapons, wars, natural disaster, or something else)? Can anything be done to prevent it from happening?
Do you have friends, partners, or family members that "keep score" and always let you know when you "owe" something or when it is "your turn" to do something? Is it difficult to maintain a relationship with someone who does this?
Do you think that most teenagers need more independence or more structure in their lives? How would that help to prepare them to be responsible adults?
Do you think that a person who has a terminal illness or devastating injury should have the right to terminate their life without medical or government intervention? Why or why not?
What is your "happy" thought? When life is frustrating or people around you are grumpy and you need to just take a mental step away from all of that, what do you think about to put a smile back on your face?
Have you ever done what you thought was a good deed and it backfired and people were upset with you? Did you still want to do good deeds for those people or did you just want to walk away and not look back? Are you likely to continue doing good deeds for people in general?
If someone that you love is on life-support with no brain activity would you have the medical team continue to provide services (for years if necessary) or would you ask them to stop intervening and let nature take its course?
Do you know anyone who frequently asks to borrow things and then either does not return them or brings them back damaged and does not even acknowledge it? What do you say to them the next time they want to borrow something that happens to be very important to you?
Do you think that the media (radio, TV, newspapers, and magazines) should be able to put anything at all out there to the public or do you think that there should be some limitations (national security, under-age identities, etc) that the media must respect and follow or face legal consequences?
Are you a self-starter or do you wait for someone else to tell you what needs to be done? How does this help or hurt you in your personal life or in your job?
