Question of the Day: Day 195

What is the difference between confidence and arrogance? Which one is most likely to help a person be successful in life?

confidence is quiet, in word and action, and needs no recognition.

Arrogance is loud, flashy, and needs to be acknowledged.

It depends on how you define success - but confidence is real, arrogance is a mask, which indicates, to me, which is a better quality - because, as qualities, they are mutually exclusive.

Confidence says "I can do this"

Arrogance says "I can do this by myself.

One leaves open the option of getting help if needed.

One says I don't need anyone else.

Confidence is essential to success.

Arrogance is lonely in failure and success

I think that the main difference between confidence and arrogance is perception.

A confident person knows his/her own strengths and weaknesses.

An arrogant person thinks that they know everything and that everyone looks up to him/her which is usually not the case at all.

Confidence is believing in your self.
Arrogance is deceiving yourself... into belieiving that "you" are bigger, & better than others.
