Question of the Day: Day 123

Have you ever tried your very best to do something and still failed?
Did you keep trying or give up? Why?

Yep! Relatinship... gave it my all- got very little in return... gave it my all again, got little in return... repeat ... finally gave up.

The first introductory computer class I ever took... I completed all assignments & put a lot of effort into learning all of the applications presented. I did not do well on the excel portion of the exam. I swallowed & learned to live with a "c". FRUSTRATION.

Eventually I concluded that... if this- OOOOOOOO is my life, then, this- . is that "c".

Okay lets see...Yes. Anything you do in life is bound to have moments of failure. Every instance in our lives, positive or negative, teaches us something. To be successful all the time would not balance out the valuable learning that comes from failure.

Keep on trying, that is what i do. It may take me a few more times to be successful and often feel like quitting, but I know that quitting is worse for me than trying. I would use the metaphor of riding a bike, or a horse, etc just get back on and ride. Once you learn the thrills involved in the success of your achievement the failures are only obstacles to make you want to achieve more.

I have ADD and I find that the fewer options i have in reaching a goal, the easier it is to focus. One step at a time. If you keep raising the bar a little at a time, i find it is alot easier to obtain success than shooting for the ultimate goal right from the beginning. Set it up your goals in stages i.e. what do i need to get to the next level sort of a system. Make sure to understand that what you see as success may not be what another sees. And know when you are achieving what your ultimate goal is, not someone elses.

Keep on Truckin!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, Yes.

Failing at something, though, is not a terrible thing. To not try at all is far worse than trying and failing.

Failure is an opprtunity to try something new and to gain wisdom and experience.

Things are what we make them.
