Question of the Day: Day 161

Are there ever times when you doubt yourself?
What do you do to get through those times?

Occassionally, I have self doubt, especially when I'm tired. After a good night's sleep, I am usually able to put things in perspective & regain my balance; talk myself right out of doubt.

More often~ however, I have had a tendancy to second guess something I've said. Words can be so arbitrary & can easily be misconstrued. There have been times when I have spoken from an impulse, or reactive place & wished that I'd been more mindful before opening my mouth, or typing words. But the people in my life who really know me.. know the real me & most of them know how to take my sarcasm, odd sense of humour, or rants.

Yes, but I'm not sure I do get through it. I mean, when things go as they should, I'm not sure that I fully enjoy it, because deep inside there is a doubt that I can sustain a consistancy of effort.
So as Wings said; I pray.

Don't we all have times when we doubt ourselves? I think that's only human.

Those moments do not tend to last very long so the best thing to do is just to take a breath and remind myself of what I know to be true: this, too, shall pass.
