Question of the Day: Day 101

If you were doing something wrong, would you want your friends to mind their own business or would you want them to talk to you about it?
Would you do the same thing for them?

Where I am at today, I'd want them to let me know they noticed. Yes, I'd do the same for them, even if the person chose to be angry towards me. The future is always brighter when we shed light today.

We make a lot of friends in our lives, but if we are lucky, we have that one or two that we have a special connection with. These are the ones that you can show your whole self to, the ones you tell the truth to, fight and argue with. These friends don't mind their own business or smooth things over during the tough times. It's important to have people to set you straight when they see you about to screw up - these are 'true friends'. And yes, do the same for them. They will love you for it.

I'd want them to let me know. I try do the same for my friends, in a sensitive way. But also, if they are gonna do soemthing stupid, that doesn't mean the aren't my friend. Its a two way thing...even if I am doing something stupid, I know my friends will pick up the pieces. I hope I will do the same for them.

Yes.

If my friends care about me then they WILL tell me when they think I am messing up. To do anything else would NOT be caring.

And, yes, I would do exactly the same for anyone that I care about.

How could I not?

Of course I'd want my true friends to say something and I would do the same for them. I guess the real test of a friendship would occur when you had to decide whether or not to tell someone else in a position of authority. That, to me, is a much tougher scenario. Or, if I had to decide whether or not to tell one of the victims of my friend's inappropriate actions. If I value humanity, I'd have to ensure that the victims were notified, but preferrably by my friend doing the wrongdoing.
