We are looking for answers to some hard questions as we dig deep inside and explore our own core values and how that guides not just our own lives but the very world that we live in. These questions will be asked to a group of high school students but we would also like to hear from the world at large. While we hope to keep this forum wide open we do reserve the right to delete responses that we find to be offensive or combative in nature. Thank you for participating with us.

The most important things I learned were these:
1. I never have to justify myself to anybody. I'm OK just the way I am.
2. "This too shall pass" ~~~ things change, good times fade, bad times come and go as well... relax, we've got lots of time to be.
3. Everybody you meet knows something you don't so if you spend time listening, you will learn what that thing is and become smarter.
4. Always return video tapes on time.
I think three of the most important things to learn as a teenager are:
1) to be able to honestly look at and evaluate your own actions and motivations.
2) to be able to honestly look at and evaluate what the consequences of your actions might be.
3) to be willing take responsibility for your actions in word and deed and the consequences of them.
If they can manage that, they can navigate adulthood just fine.
I think they need to learn how to take responsiblity for there actions and also they need to learn how to deal with there life problems and not taking it out on other people I think they need to know that, if you know you do things that are wrong you should not just say you are fine the way that you are because you may be hurting your relationships!!!
Every action you take carries a consequence. In the end, there is always a balance.
Well, rats - Stu pretty much covered it.
There are so many things that are important but I think that if a young person learns to respect self and others, be responsible and trustworthy, and leave the world better than he/she found it then most everything else will work out okay.
Responsibility is the most important.
On a more pragmatic scale, they need to learn how to cope on thier own without parents; cooking washing cleaning etc etc.
Ruben,
i think da need 2 no right from wrong and be able to take care of yourself without a person helping u out.to when to say someting and no when not to.
