Question of the Day: Day 234

Have you ever known someone who seemed "broken" in spirit and expected other people to "fix" them instead of looking for their own solutions? What happened?

Yes... more than once... I got sucked into the chaos. In the end I was able to say I did all I could do... before having the life sucked out of me & I genuinely wish them well. I luv people... I've really had to work on boundaries in order to keep me whole.

"You have to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, & know when to run" ... applies to more than just a poker game!!!

Hey, I used to live with that guy! And it almost broke my spirit too. I always felt like i was being drawn down into a hole with them. But after getting to the lowest point i could imagine, i got out.

One thing i managed to realize from it is that the world owes no one. he wanted everyone to pay for his bad childhood. I said "You are an adult now. Fix your own life. No one owes you anything."

i moved out. and he is still trying to drink his pathetic self idulgent sorrows away. Sadly its his inability to get through the pain of life that is killing his spirit. As much as i tried to help him, until he learns to deal with the pain, and move past it on his own, he is at a loss. and not at my expense anymore.

empower yourselves against emotional vampires. set boundaries. let them know you love them. but don't get caught in the web.

oh' god yes and i can stand people like that but sometimes its not easy for a person to bring them selves up when there feeling low sometimes you have to give them that extra push..i know how it feels to need a little extra help in gaining back your senses if you know what i mean we have all been through it and we will continue to go through it because its life. but sooner or later we will have to face that kind of problem on our own.
