What qualities do you look for in a friend?

Sense of Humor, Empathetic, and fun. Friends are people who care for you no matter what has passed. They are easy to forgive, and not easy to replace when lost. They take special roles in our lives teaching us about ourselves and how to treat others.

Friends are priceless.

I look for a friend who is funny and thoughtful. It can be great fun to be around people who are always doing crazy things and making you laugh, but at the end of the day, you want someone to whom you can talk in any situation. A friend is someone with whom you share everything - good or bad, right or wrong, funny or very, very serious.

Friends are one of our most precious commodities.

What I look for in a friend is a person who is willing to have my back no matter what. They have to know what sacrafice means. If my friend is a boy he has to respect his mom and be respectful to females. If the friend is a female she has to be respectful to her parents and herself because I do not like females who do not have respect for themselves. My friends also must have faith in themselves.
But I also keep my enemys close.

A sense of humour, loyalty, being likeable (whatever that means), respect. I would want my close friends to be people I could tell anything. I think loyalty, respect and 'being able to tell them anything' are the most important.

But I dont think I look for friends I find them by accident.

Humble, kind-hearted, easygoing, not racist, not a back stabber (not always talking about other people), good listener, generous (with time or money)...

Oh yeah, and laughs at my jokes and loves Bob Dylan.

I LOOK FOR TRUST WORTHIENESS IN A FRIEND. IF I HAVE A FRIEND I HAVE TO TRUST THEM. IF I CAN NOT TRUST MY FRIEND THEN THEY ARE NOT A FRIEND THEY ARE AN ENEMY.

I look for humor, compassion, independence, and adventure in my friends.

Oh, and a love of music helps, too!

A willing smile, honesty, compassion, different interests along with the shared interests, not too clingy/needy, and finally, a streak of generosity, especially in the form of money, given to me is a huge plus! My friendship IS for sale! (wink)
