Question of the Day: Day 270

Do you think that having a good memory is a positive thing or does it just make you remember all of the bad things that have happened in your life?

Having an accurate memory comes in handy when taking exams, in preventing one not to overdraw on their checking account, or when detailed information is necessary.

Remembering negative events is beneficial to us, so long as we learn something from our bad experiences.

Not to remember events is perhaps the mind's way of trying to protect us from somthing which we may have difficulty handling, BUT we will never heal & I believe will always have a sense of being "off" if memories are supressed.

Interesting is that if even only two people were to describe a past event in which they were both present (perhaps even engaged with each other), rather than mere spectators, that event may be experienced & described completely differently by each individual. Often times, memory is a matter of individual perspective.
