Question of the Day: Day 308

What is the best gift that you have ever received and what made it special?

To date, I'd say the hand-made items which my children have gifted to me. The reason is because they were so excited to have a gift to offer & impatient & excited to watch me open them. Those memories are precious.

One of my brothers has gifted two items to me which were so personally touching that they- though not monetarily- have special value to me.

X-mas Santa & Mrs. Clause which my mom & dad paid an elderly woman to hand make for me when I was 18 years old - my first X-mas in my own place. I still put them out every year.

I've a friend who offers the gift of time, conversation, & understanding.
THAT TOO is precious to me.

A Prayer Cloth my mom gave to me during a difficult time in my life.

OOPs was I supposed to choose only one?

The guitar I received as a present for my 20th birthday - I still have it 21+ years later, taught many people to play on it, my older children play it whenever they can - I play it often and have derived much joy and experienced much inspiration while playing it.

It's a gift that keeps on giving - the best kind.
