Question of the Day: Day 272

Are forgiveness and redemption the same thing or are they different? Which one have you needed in your life?

In my mind, to be FORGIVEN connotates that one party no longer holds a grudge or any resentment toward another in regard to being wronged or hurt. It has more to do with a PAST TRANSGRESSION BEING WRITTEN OFF (REGARDLESS OF FUTURE INTENT).

Whereas redemption has more to do with the person who needs/wants to be forgiven CHANGING~ FROM THE MOMENT OF REDEMPTION FORWARD, WITH INTENTION OF NO LONGER CONTINUING TO TRANSGRESS against others, OR BEHAVE IN AN UNJUST MANNER toward others.
