We are looking for answers to some hard questions as we dig deep inside and explore our own core values and how that guides not just our own lives but the very world that we live in. These questions will be asked to a group of high school students but we would also like to hear from the world at large. While we hope to keep this forum wide open we do reserve the right to delete responses that we find to be offensive or combative in nature. Thank you for participating with us.

Goals, values, freedom and a plan to acheive all these. The struggle to have them and to never be bored.
My personal relationships — with friends, family, and others — and the joy that they bring me and vice versa.
The other thing is the impact I'm having on the lives of my students — helping them to prepare for their futures.
Loved ones, mostly, and change. Also, enjoying nature, personal growth, and laughter.
I could be quick & easy and say that my children, listening to and playing music, communicating ideas with people, having physical comfort and security, the practice of self-awareness, the quest for enlightenment (freedom from suffering for all beings) is what gives my life real meaning, and, in an everyday sort of sense, it does. But the circumstanses, and even the order of priority of these factors are ever changing.
Looking into myself I find that my life's meaning is only vaguely framed by what I have, what I do, and how I feel. I consider the following to be a more fundamental set of ideas that give my life meaning beyond my ego.
Passion - The fire that lights up my universe. Passion does not wait for things to be perfect, it presses on, accumulating momentum, unfettered by circumstance or mood - passion does not worry, nor does it wait, but passion does respect life- life attracts life.
Serenity - My definition of serenity would be, "Everything is happenening for a reason that I may never know." Serenity is always found 'right now', it can be found by removing worry and regret from my life. Worry and regret are two of the worst habits that human beings have. Both of these 'thinking errors' destroy serenity because we cannot focus on the 'now' while we're either worrying about the future or regretting the past.
Intent - To me, intent is defined as the application of unbending desire (passion), tempered by infinite patience (serenity.)
Ludwig von Beethoven was asked if he believed in fate He replied "Character is fate." In my view, the character of a person is manifest by our application of intent.
Considering all these things; ideas, emotions, needs, desires, experiences, and the inevitability of change, I get to the bottom of how I define and express the meaning of who I am.
It is how well I love; whoever, wherever, whenever we are, that gives my life the meaning I know is true.
Namaste
(This is a Sanskrit word meaning "I celebrate the place within us where we are one.")

These fools know nothing. It's all about Snakes On a Plane!
Lately, what has given my life meaning is letting out my authentic self. I've changed my life so that I make a living at what I love to do. I have been developing my craft (writing) and enjoying the bliss of creativity.
Personal relationships and people who love me (and whom I love) have always been the strongest thing in my life...but as I learned this year--these are all a package deal for me, and I can't have one without the other.
Who says my life has meaning?
OK...Depending on how I feel I would answer either 'music' 'science' or 'God'.
Several things give my life meaning: spiritual growth, love (both giving and receiving), raisng my children to be productive members of society, personal growth, helping people, accomplishing goals, and making connections with new people and learning about the world through their eyes.
what gives my life meaning is knowing that i have freedom and a life to live. There are other stuff like my family and the people that care for me. Im glad im an american!
There are alot of things in this world that give my life meaning. I guess the biggest one would be meaning itself. Thats actually one of the harderest words to think about because theres alot more to the word than mast people think there is.
I was trapt was locked into the system at the age of 8 and then again when I was 12. In that time I met alot of mean people. Some hit and through things at me. Some had a very verbal inpact on my life. I grew up very frightened and scared. Until I learn to be out on my own. 13 in the wold by myself without anyone or anything in my way. I became very independant and I wasn't able to face my family because I blaimed them for everything that went on in my life. Then I discovered that most of what happened to my was really all my fault. I am now just starting to realize the consept of the fact. Also my grandma was the main part of what help to me to. So I guess I would have to say that the everything that has happened and all the people that I have met were the things that gave my life the most meaning because thats what it was made up of.
WHAT GIVES MY LIFE MEANING IS, I HAVE A PURPOSE ON THE EARTH. MY PURPOSE IS HELPING OTHERS AND BEING THE BEST PERSON I COULD BE.
PLUS I LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE THAT LOVE ME. IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD TO KNOW WHY I HAVE THE LIFE I HAVE NOW.
my family and my friends give my life meaning and my son if he was still alive right know.
