Question of the Day: Day 318

Do you think that urban communities that are overrun with feral (wild) cats should have the right to capture and dispose of them or should the cats be protected and left alone?

Significant problem- good question. We've had a few caught & tested positive for being rabid.

Wow, I've mixed feelings. But, when I think of how mangy & tattered most of the feral cats I've seen look, it seems that it might be humane to "save" them from (what appears to be) sadly pathetic lives.

Wings makes an intersting statement.
I think people should spade/neuter their pets. Unfortunately they can procreate rapidly & HIV runs rampant in ferral cats. They can reek havoc on the ecology when this happens... often leading to negative impacts on other species.
