Question of the Day: Day 283

Do you think that "values" should be taught in schools or strictly at home? What happens to kids who do not have anyone at home to teach them?

why can't it be a little of both? Home values of love and commitment, and school values of respect and temperance.

there is much to be said for exposure to kindness and values for children. Its what shapes the person for the rest of their lives.

Children learn values by example - we do what we do, and kids pick up on it, try it, and if it works, they do it again.

"Do what I say, not what I do" value lessons make no sense, and kids reject them out of hand.
